Single Skinned Oil Tanks

What are Single-Skinned Oil Tanks?

A single-skinned oil tank is a heating oil storage component that stores the oil inside one compact layer of plastic. The more simplistic design and materials, typically mean that the single-skinned oil tanks are a cheaper oil storage option in comparison to their bunded and steel oil tank counterparts; their lighter, slimmer and more manoeuvrable frame makes them a simpler tank to install, especially in areas where accessibility may be compromised.

Single-Skinned Oil Tank benefits

• Can be a more cost-effective oil storage solution compared to their counterparts.
• Being made of a durable and flexible high-grade polymer (MDPE) means the tanks can be moulded to suit the needs of the homeowner.
• Lower maintenance because of the simple fact that plastic doesn’t rust.
• Easier installation because of the lightweight, manoeuvrable shape of the single-skinned oil tanks.
