1100 Low profile Steel Bunded Oil Tank

This 1100 litre low-profile steel bunded oil tank is a UK-manufactured double-skinned tank for heating oil, diesel and gas oil storage. Its low 610 mm overall height makes it particularly useful where tank height is restricted, while the integral outer bund provides secondary containment around the inner tank.

The tank uses 2 mm steel for both the inner tank and outer bund, with the bund designed to hold a minimum of 110% of the stated capacity.

What Is a Steel Bunded Oil Tank?

A steel bunded oil tank uses a tank-within-a-tank design. The inner tank stores the fuel while the outer steel bund provides secondary containment if the inner tank develops a leak.

Low-Profile Construction and Design

At approximately 1675 mm long, 1250 mm wide and only 610 mm high, this model provides around 1100 litres of nominal storage capacity in a low-profile format. Standard connections include fill, vent, bottom outlet and gauge provision, with lifting and internal bracing appropriate to the tank design.

The standard finish is Holly Bush Green (RAL 14C39). Channel runners, a clock contents gauge and an outlet kit are available as optional extras.

Delivery and Access

Estimated delivery is approximately 2–4 weeks. As this tank is below 2500 litres, standard delivery is normally kerbside using tail-lift offloading. The customer is responsible for moving the tank from the kerbside delivery point to its final position.

• Delivery is normally advised around 48 hours in advance.
• Standard deliveries are typically Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm.
• Please ensure suitable access for an 18-tonne delivery vehicle; a smaller 7.5-tonne vehicle may be possible by prior arrangement.
• Specific-day, AM/PM and HIAB delivery may be available at additional cost.
• Some postcode areas require a bespoke delivery quotation.
• Remove protective wrapping promptly after delivery to help protect the painted finish.

Installation, Maintenance and Guarantee

The tank should be installed on a level, load-bearing base suitable for the combined weight of the tank and its contents. General guidance recommends a concrete, paving-stone or stonework base extending at least 300 mm beyond the tank on all sides.

Installation requirements vary by site, so the final installation should follow current regulations and guidance and be completed by a suitably qualified installer.

Steel tanks should be inspected regularly and maintained to protect the coating. Manufacturer guidance recommends periodic repainting with a suitable protective coating, approximately every 18 months.

Do not arrange installation work or a fuel delivery until the tank has arrived and been checked.
